As we know, we are spending most of the time sitting on chairs and working. What do you feel, if breathing exercises (like Yoga) in a chair could be incorporated into your daily life?
There is a common misconception that yoga must be done in a certain environment, for a specific amount of time, and on the floor. However, this idea can often limit us in our ability to integrate it into our lives. Some people have limitations that prevent them from being able to sit on the floor for long periods of time, and with a chair this is no longer an impediment. Likewise, the demands of our daily life often limit the amount of time we feel we have to dedicate to yoga and meditation. However, there are many times throughout the day we may find ourselves seated and with a few minutes to spare. Something like this, we might be able to include while sitting at work, on a plane or even during a commute. When we start to broaden our perspective on where, when, and how to practice yoga and meditation, we just might find that it can help us throughout the day in new and unexpected ways.
